We put farmers in the middle and empower NGOs to communicate better. Farmers in Africa have constant challenges; access to money, access to the market and access to information are the key obstacles for growth and to farm more sustainably. Yielder aims to create easy access and smooth communication in order to make the value chains transparent and provide access to relevant information so farmers can make better decisions.

Direct communication from our partners to (groups of) farmers is an integrated element in Yielder; our knowledge database is filled with up-to-date documents from our partner organisations and is available to everyone after downloading the free app.

Not only organisations can communicate with farmers, but farmers can also exchange experiences with each other; the peer2peer motivation is a strong tool to create behaviour change. This trusted source of information is vital for the improvement of the agriculture sector.

Also, through the Yielder Ambassador Network, (the young agriculture professionals in the field), we can reach out to farmers who don’t have access to smartphones. These Ambassadors promote Yielder in the field and give us information about what is going on there. 

The services of the Ambassador Network is open for our partners for their (digital) extension needs.

We have added Blended Learning to our service package. Multimedia trainings using digital tools have a proven impact. We train our Ambassadors to become trainers, they reach out to the farmers to train them in person, and these trainees can also individually access the trainings online. 

Blended Learning has a great impact, a very high appreciation rate and is a continuous communication alley between NGOs and farmers. At a relatively low cost, our partners can reach out to very high numbers of trainees.

Yielder aims to be an umbrella for other digital service providers in the agriculture sector; finding all information on a single app makes it more transparent, easier to use and the integrated services use the same digital backbone. The API owners remain in control and responsible for their own tools and results.

Yielder is dynamic and all the time new services are developed, tested and implemented in the app. If our partners have requests or suggestions, we can add those to the app as well.
